Important Notice: Take Action by May 10th
As part of the wind down of our gift card and payroll contribution service, LEAF will be issuing refunds in May 2025 for balances held on your behalf in the following cases:
- Unredeemed Gift Cards: Your gift recipient never claimed their gift card.
- Untransferred Gift Cards: You redeemed a gift card but didn’t provide 529 plan details.
- Returned Transfers: We were unable to complete a transfer to your 529 plan or student loan due to missing or invalid information.
You can verify whether you have a refundable balance by signing into your account. Aside from the cases above, funds have been transferred to your financial institution (529 plan, school, or student loan servicer).
If you have a refundable balance, you have two options to receive your refund:
- By Check: Sign in to your LEAF Account then click on "Address" under "My Account" to confirm your mailing address. Update it if needed. Paper checks will be mailed to the address on file.
- By ACH: If you prefer a direct deposit, please complete the ACH Refund Authorization Form and upload it to our secure ShareFile inbox.
Please make sure your address is up-to-date or submit the ACH form by May 10, 2025 to avoid delays.
